Associate of Arts Degree

Completion of 60 academic semester hours is required for the College Transfer program, plus two semester hours of physical education credits. A minimum GPA of 2.0 must be attained to graduate.

5. Distributed Requirements (8 semester hours)

     Southwestern requires an additional 8 semester hours from the above sections (1, 2, 3, and/or 4) to round out your general education requirements.

6. Electives (19 semester hours)
    Any course offered at Southwestern can be considered an elective except for developmental courses. You can apply up to 16 vocational technical credits toward the Associate of Arts degree.

7. Physical Education (2 semester hours)
P.E. credits may be waived if you begin your academic career at Southwestern after you turn 23, or if you are a veteran or a current member of an active armed forces unit or reserve unit, or if you have a physical disability and/or a statement from your doctor.
