Spartans Post Play Leads to Victory

Southwestern took on William Jewel JV in only their second home game since Christmas. Southwestern would build leads in the first half of 7 and 9 points, but would watch William Jewel JV drain 9 three point baskets to close the score to 44-41 at the half.

SWCC came out with good intensity in the second half and quickly built a double digit lead that they would not relinquish the rest of the way. The final was 89-73.

Anthony Davis lead the way with 26 points. Royce Phillips also contributed 20. Tyler Raasch chipped in 14. The win improves SWCC’s record to 10-5.

They head back into regional play on Wednesday at home against Iowa Central.
