SWCC Survives Another OT Game

Southwestern traveled to Clinton in their first regional game today. The game would be close early on, but Southwestern would go on a run to build a 30-22 lead with about 4 minutes to go in the half. Then Clinton ended the half on a 13-7 run to make it 37-35 at the half.

SWCC would then build a 12 point lead in the second half only to see Clinton score with .6 seconds to go to tie the game at 71-71. Clinton jumped out to a 3 point lead in the OT, but SWCC would end the game on a 13-1 run.

SWCC was lead by Laurice Ellison’s 20 points and 13 rebounds. Southwestern had 5 players in double figures and 3 in double digit rebounds. The win makes Southwestern 8-2 and 1-0 in region play.
