Southwestern Makes It Three in a Row

Southwestern headed to Nebraska to take on Southeast Community College Saturday. Southeast jumped out to an early lead on some excellent shooting. With the Spartans trailing 24-15, a timeout was taken to settle the players. After the timeout, SWCC ended the half on a 29-5 run to give them the lead 44-29.

Southwestern would see their lead trimmed to 6 in the second half, but they were able to maintain the lead in route to an 82-66 win. Royce Phillips lead the way with 18 points. SWCC also had 4 other players in double figures. The win takes Southwestern's record to 3-0 on the season.

SWCC will play their last home game before Thanksgiving on Wednesday against Culver Stockton JV at 7:30 pm.
