Spartans Upend North Central
Southwestern took on the host team in the final of
the NCMC Classic. Southwestern jumped out to an early 12-0 lead on
the host pirates, but would see this lead disappear by the end of
the half. A three quarter court shot put NCMC up 39-31 at the half.
Southwestern would see Terrance Morgan get hot in the
second half in route to his career high 18 points. With the hot play
of Morgan combined with good free throw shooting down the stretch,
SWCC pulled out a 76-65 win. Anthony Davis had another good night
with 20 points. Laurice Ellison would get his first double double
of the season with 10 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists. Kristian
Williams had 9 more assists giving him 20 on the weekend. The win
moves the Spartans to 5-1 on the season.
SWCC has 2 weeks off before heading to the Iowa Western
Classic.
