About the Instructor

Al Binning, Southwestern Community College Structural Drafting Instructor, is a graduate of the Structural Drafting program and has an Associate of Science Degree in Computer programming both from Southwestern Community College. Al comes to Southwestern with over 20 plus years of structural steel knowledge. He has been a structural steel detailer, estimator and a contracting engineer for PDM, an outside detailer and mechanical designer. Al's detailing consists of office buildings, hospitals, high rise buildings, bridges, water towers, petroleum storage tanks, lock and gates for major rivers, and various mechanical drilling equipment.
