The Osceola Center offers a wide variety of credit and non-credit
educational opportunities offered by local faculty, the Iowa Communications
Network (ICN), on-line courses, and telecourses. Iowa Workforce Development
is also currently operating from the center.
Several high school students in Osceola, Murray, Clarke and I-35 are
enrolled in SWCC courses. By taking these classes, they are receiving
both high school and college credit simultaneously. Classes offered
include carpentry, computer science, composition, calculus, statistics,
and pre-nursing. Currently, the high school carpentry class is building
a new home at 110 Country Club Drive. The home is scheduled to be
completed in the spring of 2008.
Whether
you are considering taking a class for fun or enrolling as a full
time student, give Mindy a call to discuss how Southwestern Community
College can help you meet your educational goals at their Osceola
Center.
