School Partnerships
Articulation
Articulation provides all high school students in
the area a chance to meet the required competencies of SWCC post-secondary,
entry level courses. A common core of competencies for each SWCC course
are agreed upon by high schools and SWCC. We have articulation agreements
with all Area 14 schools, and many outside Area 14. A student validation
form and course competencies checklist must be completed by the instructor
and submitted to Southwestern's Admission Office. Check with your
counselor or contact Mindy Dresback to see if your school has an articulation
agreement with Southwestern Community College. Schools that currently
have an articulation agreement with SWCC should have a new updated
Articulation Handbook on file in their Principal's and Counselor's
office at their high school. Guidelines, procedures, and all forms
are included in this handbook and can be copied as needed.
Career Academy Programs
Southwestern Community College currently has Tech
Prep Agreements with fourteen Area 14 school districts and four out-of-area
school districts, as listed below. Talk to your High School Counselor
if you are interested in enrolling in a Career Academy Program.
