Q - When are tuition and fees due?
A - Tuition and fees are due on or before the first day of the term. There are several payment options available.
Q - Who do I contact for questions on my student accounts bill?
A - The business office staff page will give you the name, telephone number and email account of the people who deal directly with student accounts.
Q - When will I receive my workstudy checks?
A - The workstudy timesheets are due on the first day of each month. Workstudy checks are available to be picked up in the business office at the student accounts desk on the 15th of each month. If the 15th falls on Saturday or Sunday, checks are available the previous Friday. Workstudy checks can be mailed on payday, if requested.
Q - When will I receive my financial aid refund check?
A - The business office staff page will give you the name, telephone number and email account of the people that deal directly with student accounts. They can tell you when the financial aid refund checks will be available.
Don’t have time to cash a refund check? Get your financial aid, tuition, and book buyback refunds deposited directly into your checking or savings account. All deposits are made on Fridays.
NOTE: Work-study paychecks are not included in the direct deposit program.
If you have already enrolled in the direct deposit program, your information is already on file and no further action is needed.
How to register for direct deposit:
1. Have your bank information (bank name, routing number, account number, and account type-see below for example) ready.
2. Log on to your SWCC CampusConnect account.
3. Complete the direct deposit form available in the Student Information dropdown.
Tuition & Fees Refund
Refunds of tuition and fees are calculated as of the date on the withdrawal form completed in writing by the student, and on file in the student services office.
Refunds of tuition and fees will be made as follows based on the beginning date of classes and the date on the withdrawal form:
|Before the end of the 1st week
Before the end of the 2nd week
After the end of the 2nd week
*Note: This is based on a 16-week term, shorter terms will be pro-rated.
**Note: This is based on an eight-week term.
Refund checks are issued only on Fridays. The business office must receive a written request from the student or financial aid office by noon on Tuesday for checks to be issued the same week.
Payment arrangements that cover the entire balance of your student account, including tuition, fees and housing must be made each semester by the payment deadline.
To check your student account balance you may contact the business office at 641.782.1448 or log into your CampusConnect student account.
- Log into CampusConnect with your student ID and password
- Select “Student,” “Account Status”
- Select the semester you wish to see
If you plan to finance your education on your own or if your financial aid will not cover all your expenses, you need to make payment in full or set up an automatic payment plan (see E-Cashier below).
Payment options include:
If you have been awarded a financial aid package from the financial aid office and have enough to cover the current semester, excess aid may be used to purchase books and supplies at our bookstore. Any aid remaining will be refunded; check SWCC's Master Calendar for refund dates.
Payments may be mailed to the attention of Student Accounts at any of our campuses. Please include your studentid number on the check.
Payments by cash, check, money order, and credit card may be made at the business office. If the check is written from a bank located outside the United States, please contact the business office for further assistance.
We accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover credit and debit cards.
