ESL Instructor (Red Oak Center)
Individual will be teaching English to non-English speaking adults. Bachelors degree in education desired. Spanish knowledge helpful, not required. Will be scheduled 4 hours/week (days & evenings); $11.50 per hour.

Secretary – Secondary Programs & Distance Education

Individual will be responsible for providing clerical and secretarial support to the coordinator of secondary programs and also to the Distance Education office.
 
A high school diploma or equivalency required. Previous experience in a secretarial position and excellent computer skills desired. This is a full-time position with benefits.

Adjunct Instructor – Introduction to Computers (Red Oak Center)

Individual will be teaching a three credit course of *Introduction to Computers in the traditional classroom setting at the Red Oak Center. Course schedule will be established according to the needs of the individual hired.

*This is an introductory course that surveys a variety of topics to include history, hardware, software, terminology, communications, computer ethics, and societal impact of computers. In addition to computer literacy, students will complete hands-on modules for Microsoft Office programs using Windows 8 and Microsoft Office 2013.

The successful candidate shall have a master's degree with a minimum of 12 graduate credits in the subject field (computer science, business, or similar).

Adult Basic Education/High School Equivalency Instructor (Location: Winterset, Iowa)

Individual will be responsible for preparing and teaching basic skills, computer literacy, and High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) subject areas (reading, writing, mathematics, general science, and social studies) to students enrolled in the SWCC Adult Literacy program.

The instructor must evaluate and report adult student progress and level completion according to state and federal guidelines and must have good communication and computer skills.

Bachelor’s degree required, in education preferred. Individual will be scheduled up to 12 hours per week.  Pay will begin at $13 per hour.  Review of applications will begin September 8 and will continue until the position is filled.

ESL Instructor for Red Oak

Individuals will be teaching English to second language learners. Bachelor’s degree required; education major desired. Spanish knowledge helpful, not required. Will be scheduled up to 10 hrs/wk (days); $13 per hour.
