2016 Administrative Specialist Certificate class with instructor

Southwestern Community College's adult and continuing education department held a reception on Wed., May 25, 2016, from 5-6 p.m., to honor the first three individuals to complete the college's new administrative specialist certificate training, which ran from January 25-May 25, 2016.  Individuals earning certificates for the program included Elisa Cole of Creston, Terri Juhl of Fontanelle, and Ashlie Robb of Creston.

Southwestern Community College's high school carpentry and building trades Career Academy and Union County Habitat for Humanity hosted an Open House at their student-constructed home on Tues., May 24, from 6-7 p.m.  The house is located at 310 S. Walnut Street in Creston.

Students relaxing during fall 2015 Stress Free Zone

Take a break from finals and head to the Student Center for the Stress Free Zone on Wed., May 4, 2016, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.  There will be food, fun, and activities to get your mind off of the books for a while.

The SWCC Shoppe is having a finals week BOGO sale from May 2-6, 2016.  Buy one SWCC apparel item/souvenir and receive half off the second item of equal or lesser value.  Textbook buyback is also underway this week.  When headed to the SWCC Shoppe for buyback, please have your student ID and original receipt with you at the buy back counter.  Book buyback funds may be used toward BOGO purchases.
