During the Iowa Association for Lifelong Learning (IALL) Summer Conference, held July 16-17 in Ames, Kim Oaks, SWCC business coordinator, received the Distinguished Service Award.

Oaks, who works in SWCC's adult and continuing education department, was also recognized at the conference for being a past president for IALL.

Oaks was nominated by Curt Buhr from DMACC. Kelsey Hollen, SWCC pathway navigator, spoke on behalf of SWCC during the award's presentation.
