Student Support Services is hosting a transfer workshop on Wed., January 21 & 22, 2009, from noon to 1 p.m., in room 120 of the Instructional Center.
We want you as a member of our Student Support Services program!
Do either of your parents have a 4-year degree? Do you receive a Pell Grant? Do you have a learning or physical disability? If you said “yes” to any of these, you may be eligible to be a Student Support Services member!
SSS is taking applications for the Spring ’09 semester. As a member, you can take advantage of FREE services such as tutoring, transfer assistance, laptop loans, book loans, grant aid, and other fun events. Sign up in our offices located above the library today!
During the workshop, discussion will focus on topics such as . . .
- What is the difference between a private and a public college?
- How do I decide which college is right for me?
- How does the transfer progress work?
- Am I automatically accepted into a 4-year college if I have a 2-year degree?
Meeting content will be the same each day.
Sign up for the workshop with Coleen Hogue in the Student Support Services Office by January 20! Lunch will be provided as long as you are pre-registered.
