Osceola—Southwestern Community College’s high school carpentry class is hosting a birdhouse-making workshop for children Saturday, May 8, 10 a.m. to noon at SWCC’s Osceola Center.

SWCC Osceola carpentry instructor Charlie Mundy is planning and instructing the workshop.  During the event, participants will build wren houses with assistance from Mundy and Southwestern’s Osceola carpentry students.  They will be able to take the birdhouses home upon completion.

Mundy planned the event because he feels it is extremely important for the high school students to interact and work with youth.

The cost to attend is $10.  To register for the event, please call SWCC’s Osceola Center at 641-342-3531.  Registration is limited to the first 20 participants.
