The Southwestern Community College (SWCC) Drama Club is hosting Little Spartan Drama Camps for children ages 4-13 from Wed., June 24, through Fri., June 26, at the SWCC Performing Arts Center on the SWCC campus in Creston. Camps ages, times, and activities follow:
- Ages 4-6 – June 24, 8:30 am-12 pm – Children will learn stage craft, terminology, theater exercises, Improv games, projecting voice, curtain calls, being quiet back stage, character development, and a small readers theater practice and rehearsal.
- Ages 7-9 – June 25, 8:30 am-12 pm - Children will learn stage craft, terminology, theater exercises, Improv games, projecting voice, curtain calls, being quiet back stage, character development, light and sound booth operations, and a small readers theater practice and rehearsal.
- Ages 10-13 – June 26, 8:30 am-3 pm (lunch provided) – Students will learn about and participate in the following: terminology, stage set up, light/sound booth operations, stage make-up, vocal exercises for the stage, improve, monologues, and scene work.
