Students Holding HelmetsListed below are the required tools for the auto collision repair/refinish program.  Arrangements should be made for purchase of tools prior to the first day of classes. The cost for all tools is approximately $1,200.

If you are not able to purchase the tools on your own, SWCC offers tool rental for $250 a year with the option to buy. Students who opt to rent are responsible for broken and lost tools.  Please complete the tool rental form if you plan to rent tools from SWCC for the program.

Your instructor as well as the Advisory Committee stress that the purchase of tools is a must in seeking employment. You cannot be hired without them. So please check out the tool fair held during the career and technical orientation. Matco tools, Mac tools, Craftsman and Snap-On tools are offered as sets at greatly reduced prices while you are a student at SWCC.

Your instructor and the Advisory Committee have compiled the following list with costs in mind, but also what they consider as a minimum requirement for an entry-level technician. Please engrave your tools to prevent them from getting lost or stolen.
