Southwestern volleyball traveled to Boone to play the Bears of Des Moines Area Community College Wednesday night.  This was the first conference road game for the Spartans.

Southwestern was defeated by the Bears in three games as DMACC jumped out to early leads in each set.  The Spartans were not able to dig themselves out of the hole and contest any of the sets.  Hitting errors were a big downfall for the Spartans statistically as they ended the match with more hitting errors than kills in two of the three sets.  With the loss, the Spartans move to 0-2 in conference play.
