Stoaks Signs with the Spartans

Jacy Stoaks, a senior at Lenox High School, signed last week with the Southwestern Community College softball and volleyball programs.  She will become a Spartan with the fall 2017 semester.  Stoaks plans to earn her Associate of Arts degree at Southwestern with a major in athletic training.  She is the daughter of Mandy and Kurt Stoaks of Lenox.

Southwestern Community College is preparing for a new era of softball with the announcement of a head coach, Paige Cassady of Tennessee, who will replace Lindsay Stumpff, coach of the Spartan softball program for the past 10 years.

Gabby DuBois

The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) recently announce the NJCAA Division II Softball All-Region teams for the Spring 2016 season. Gabryelle DuBois and Abby Davis  were named to the first and second teams, respectively. Kassie Craig, Melody Stevens, Brennan Banks, and Tiernee Fichter were named honorable mention.

Southwestern Community College (SWCC) Head Softball Coach Lindsay Stumpff recently added Maryville High School’s Amanda Volner to the Spartan line-up for the 2016-2017 softball season. Volner, who can play pitcher, shortstop, and left field, will provide a lot of versatility for the Spartans.
