Camp information follows:

Southwestern Softball Hitting Camp
For grades second through seventh

Registration:  8:30 a.m.
Camp: 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Cost:  $50

Players will receive instruction on bunting, slapping, hitting for consistency and/or power, pitch recognition, and base running.  We will introduce several hitting drills to help develop skills each player will need to be an impact player.

Cost:  $30
 
Full payment must accompany application.  Make check payable to Southwestern Softball. There will be a $30 service charge for ALL returned checks.  Your payment will be refunded without question if you cancel three days before the clinic date.  However, at any time after this date, refunds will be made for MEDICAL reasons only. Requests for refunds must be accompanied by a signed statement from your physician.

Camp Director

Head Coach Paige Cassady

Southwestern Softball Coach Paige Cassady of Franklin, TN, took the helm of the Spartan softball program in June 2016. 

Prior to coaching at Southwestern, Cassady was employed as the assistant operations manager for A-Game Sportsplex.  She played collegiate softball for Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN, for the 2013-14 season and Volunteer State Community College in Gallatin, TN, from August 2011-May 2013.  At Volunteer State, she was named as an All-American her sophomore year and All-Region for catching her sophomore year.  She hit third in the nation, with a batting average of .509, her sophomore year.  Cassady was All-Region for academics at both institutions and was captain of her team during her sophomore year.

She earned an associate degree from Volunteer State Community College in August 2013 and a bachelor’s degree in leisure, sport, and tourism studies from Middle Tennessee State University in August 2015.

In addition to her coaching duties, Cassady is a residence hall coordinator in Southwestern’s student housing department.
