Face-to-face and online textbooks, both new and used, which have been selected by the instructor are available at the SWCC Shoppe (bookstore). The price of new books are set by the Publishing Company. The SWCC Shoppe does not control the cost of new books, nor does it control when a textbook shifts to a new edition. Used books that are sold in the SWCC Shoppe are priced at 75 percent of the new price.

Book Buyback Information for Fall 2016 Semester

The SWCC Shoppe will be offering book buyback during finals week of the fall 2016 semester. You may return textbooks to the SWCC Shoppe or centers during business hours beginning December 12, 2016, and ending December 16, 2016.  Business hours at the SWCC Shoppe are Monday thru Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Check with each center for their buy back hours.  Each student selling back books will need their student ID. You may bring in your books at different times during the week; you do not have to bring them all in at the same time or on the same day.

If the SWCC Shoppe is able to buy back your book, you will receive a credit to your student account balance.  If the book credit exceeds any balance on your student account, you will receive a refund check.  The business office of Southwestern Community College will handle all refund checks.

Students will also need to return their rental books by December 20, 2016.  Rental books can be returned at the same time students are selling their books back to the SWCC Shoppe.  Rental books do not have a buy back value.
