T.J. Bower, the all-time leading scorer in Nodaway Valley history, has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for Southwestern. Bower’s numbers are gaudy. He ranks number one all-time with 1,463 points and 245 steals. He is second on the all-time list with 627 career rebounds, and third in assists. Bower averaged 20.4 points per game in his senior season, but scoring is not what Head Coach Mike Holmes feels is his greatest asset.
“In my opinion,” Holmes said, “T.J. is the player that he is because scoring really doesn’t seem to concern him all that much. He understands the game on a level that not many players reach, and that is why I think he will flourish in our systems.”
