Two Solon High School graduates—Brandon Dvorsky and Easton Ressler—made it official during the Iowa High School Clay Target Competition, May 30-June 1 in Cedar Falls, they are headed to Southwestern Community College in Creston this fall where they will participate in sports shooting.

Dvorsky Brandon

Dvorsky is the son of Tim and Jennifer David and Brent Dvorsky. During high school, he was a member of the Solon High School trap shooting team.

Ressler Easton

Ressler is the son of Martin and Sarah Ressler. He was a four-year letter winner on the Solon High School trap shooting team.

“This Solon duo has great potential,” said Charlie Mundy, SWCC sports shooting head coach. “I look forward to watching them compete at the collegiate level.”

This year marked the first year for the Spartans’ sports shooting program. With Mundy at the helm, the Spartans qualified for the Association of College Unions International (ACUI) Collegiate Clay Target Championships in San Antonio, TX, in March. The Spartans took three squads and placed 15th in trap shooting. There were approximately 70 colleges and universities competing at the event.
