If questions, please contact Ting Liu, SWCC head volleyball coach.
New Southwestern Community College Volleyball Coach Ting Liu didn’t have to travel far to find her latest recruit—Brittany Malone, 2014 East Union High School graduate.
Malone made two state volleyball appearances during her high school career. She was on the 2012 team that finished the season as Pride of Iowa Conference champs. She was named first team all-conference as defensive specialist. In addition to her success in volleyball, she also made it to state two years for track and left a legacy at East Union by beating school records in track.
Erin Coker, a May 2014 Cedar Rapids Kennedy graduate, is headed to Southwestern Community College (SWCC) to play for Ting Liu, who is in her first-year coaching the Spartans volleyball team.
During high school, Coker was a four-year starter for the Kennedy volleyball team. She played in two state tournaments and received all-metro and all-conference honors for her last three years of high school. In addition to her athletic honors, Coker was named to the Kennedy Honor Roll of Excellence all trimesters during high school and was a member of the Science National Honor Society.
