The Spartans struggled in the first half with turnovers and poor shooting in the first half against the visiting Simpson JV. They headed into the locker room at the half trailing the Storm by three, 27-24. The Spartans continued to struggle in the second half and eventually the game slipped away, 76-62.

Head Coach Addae Houston said, “We shot the ball well to begin the second half and were able to get a few defensive stops early on that allowed us to take the lead at one point in the game. Unfortunately, our defensive effort got worse as the game went on and we were unable to get enough stops to overcome Simpson and win the game.”

The Spartans had three players score in double figures. Morgan Knorr led the Spartans with 18 points, Darian Polson added 17 points, and Jill Vanderhoof scored 11 points.
