The Spartan Women traveled to Fort Dodge Thursday, January 31, on a cold and windy day and were defeated by a solid Iowa Central Team 40 to 85. The difference was only nine points midway through the first half but it grew to 24 at the half as the Spartans trailed 16 to 40. The second half was more productive offensively as better patience was shown. The Titans are a very deep team and get up and down the floor at a fast pace.
Leading the way for the Spartans was Darian Polson with 10 points and eight rebounds. Morgan Knorr added eight points, five rebounds and a team high four assists. Taylor Zimmerman and Maddie Wagler each added five points. The next contest is a 1:00 p.m. game at Iowa Lakes this Saturday.
