Trustee Award Scholarship

Restrictions:  Must be valedictorian/salutatorian of 2014 high school graduating class.  Must be enrolled at Southwestern as a full-time student and maintain a 3.50 cumulative grade point average each semester.  The Trustee Award is limited to two full-time consecutive academic years, including four regular semesters.  Additionally, the student may enroll in summer sessions, fast track courses, or other courses (with the exception of online classes) immediately following a semester in which he/she was eligible for the tuition and fee waiver.  The student does not have to be full-time in these special sessions in order to receive the tuition and fee waiver. To be eligible, student must enroll fall 2014 semester (semester immediately following his/her graduation). 

The amount of the award is dependent on the student's total tuition and fees and SWCC Education Foundation scholarships awarded for the 2014-15 academic year. Students in the tuition remission program do not qualify for this scholarship. Online classes are not covered by the Trustee Scholarship.

Application Deadline:  August 27, 2014 (First day of fall 2014 semester)

Collegiate Scholarship

Restrictions:  Available to 2014 high school graduates who rank in the top 15 percent of their class or have achieved composite ACT score of 25 or above or SAT score of 1150 or above. The student must enroll full-time (minimum of 12 credits) in August 2014.  The Collegiate Scholarship will be released in four installments, $500 each, in the fall and spring semesters of the 2014-15 and 2015-16 school years. NOTE:  If student's ACT score is 30 or higher, the total amount of scholarship goes up to $4,000 for two years (divided out as $1,000 per semester).  Minimum GPA requirements stay the same.

In order to receive installments, the student must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.0.  Not valid in conjunction with Southwestern’s Trustee Award Scholarship.  Students in the tuition remission program do not qualify for this scholarship.
