Pre-Nursing Option

Pre-nursing is a way to ease the load of nursing classes by taking the program in three years as opposed to two years.  Completion of pre-nursing courses allows the student to accumulate points used to rank the student for admission into his/her PN or RN year.  Pre-nursing is recommended for students who are unaccustomed to a full college load, and/or have heavy family responsibilities or work commitments. 

The pre-nursing courses may be taken prior to official program acceptance to the nursing program.  If this option is used, the remaining courses are taken after acceptance into the nursing program.  Courses that may be taken as a pre-nursing student include:
