Think Fast Game Show Offers Chance to Win $200

Get ready to think fast! On Monday, Sept. 25, 2017, students will test their knowledge of the U.S. Constitution during the Think Fast game show, in the Instructional Center, room 220, starting at 11:45 a.m.
Teams of one or two individuals will compete for prizes including a chance to win $200 in cash! Four “talent competitions” will take place during the event for a chance to win additional prizes.
Students may register to be game show contestants at the door the day of the event.

In addition, as part of Constitution Day activities, on Mon., Sept. 18, 2017, flyers detailing interesting facts about the U.S. Constitution were distributed to students in the Student Center from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. See photos below.

These Constitution Day activities are sponsored by Tracey Evans, student activities coordinator.

Sept. 21 is Last Day to Receive Charge Slip

In preparation for financial aid funds being released to students on Sept 29, 2017, the last day to receive a SWCC Shoppe (bookstore) charge slip is Sept. 21, 2017.  

If you have any questions about your student account or financial aid, please stop by the business office, located in the Administration Center.

Direct Deposit Sign-Up Available

Did you know you can sign-up for direct deposit and have your student refunds sent right to your bank account? Refunds may include financial aid, as well as tuition and book buybacks. Work-study paychecks are not included in the direct deposit program.

To sign up, just log into your CampusConnect account and have your bank information ready to enter. Weekly cut-off for direct deposit enrollment is each Monday at 8 a.m. It’s fast, free and confidential!

Contact Erin Kiley, coordinator of student accounts, with any questions.
If you have already enrolled in the direct deposit program, your information is already on file and no further action is needed.

Community Awareness Day Brings Valuable Resources to Campus

Approximately 18 community agencies were on-hand today to share information and resources with students and faculty members during Community Awareness Day, 9-11 a.m., in the Instructional Center main hallway.

This event is a great way for SWCC students to learn about resources available to them in the Creston area.

The event is organized by Deb Pantini, student development director.
