Creston, IA--The Creston Kiwanis Club honored four Creston High School students/graduates, who have been selected to receive the club's 2018-19 Southwestern Community College (SWCC) scholarships, at their regular meeting on Tues., May 8, 2018, at The Windrow restaurant in Creston.
The Kiwanis Club donates through Southwestern’s Education Foundation annually. This year’s Kiwanis Club Scholarship recipients, who will all be attending SWCC in the fall, include Mykenna Hribal, Kiersten Latham, and Paul Lorenz III. These scholarships are $500 each and preference is given to dependents or relatives of Kiwanis members. Cory Marquardt was the recipient of the Mickey Finn Education Scholarship. The late-Mickey Finn was a long-time Kiwanis member and well-known Creston business owner.
