Meals Packaging
Two big Pay it Forward (PIF) Week activities took place in the last two days.  Both ended up extremely successful.

On Tues., April 22, the SWCC Student Senate hosted a Red Cross Blood Drive.  The goal of the Blood Drive was to raise at least 43 units of blood.  By the end of the day, the Red Cross went home with 55 units of blood; therefore, the Student Senate finished 12 units above goal for the day!  Thanks to all the donors and volunteers who made this day a success!

Yesterday, April 23, a Meals From the Heartland hunger event was held at the SWCC gymnasium.  This community-wide effort allowed for a five-hour event resulting in the packaging of 60,264 meals!  The event surpassed its packaging goal, in addition to the fundraising goal.  With a few last moment donations, the final total added up to $12,601.15.  Great effort to EVERYONE who was involved in making this day a success!
