A great way to learn more about Southwestern Community College is to meet with a member of the SWCC admissions team. Admissions representatives are available year-round for college visits, campus tours, and class registration. The admissions department is located in the Administration Center on the Creston campus.
Hobbies/Interests: I spend most of my free time with family; my children are my greatest joy! I love food, music, concerts, making memories with friends, and spending time outdoors.
Favorite thing about SWCC: Everyone here is so friendly and sincere. The faculty and staff are always supportive, and the atmosphere is very welcoming. I love meeting so many people in all different walks of life working to make their lives better!

Your answer to that question: Future students can apply up until the day classes start each semester! However, sooner is better to ensure enough time to submit the required documents for admission.
Education: Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture education, communications option, from Iowa State University- GO STATE!
Hobbies/Interests: Being with family and friends, showing livestock, photography and running.

Your answer to that question: Get involved with as many activities, intramurals and clubs as possible! They are a great way to travel, have fun and make life-long friends.
Education: Associate of Arts degree with a business emphasis from Southwestern Community College! Bachelor of Business Administration degree in business management with a leadership track and business marketing from the University of Iowa, as well as a master’s degree in organizational management from Peru State College.
Hobbies/Interests: Spending time with family & friends, boating, traveling, cooking, concerts, and anything outdoors!

Your answer to that question: Not at all! As a Creston grad and a former Spartan, I thought the same thing when I started school at Southwestern. Be sure to get involved in as many student organizations as you can and you will be sure to meet tons of awesome people!

Your answer to that question: I usually point out all of the recreational activities available as well as the dining and shopping opportunities. I am often surprised that many people appreciate the small town atmosphere of Creston!
