A great way to learn more about Southwestern Community College is to meet with a member of the SWCC admissions team. Admissions representatives are available year-round for college visits, campus tours, and class registration. The admissions department is located in the Administration Center on the Creston campus.

Hobbies/Interests: Whenever I have free time I’m usually with family and friends doing all things outdoors like horseback riding, camping, fishing, etc.

Favorite thing about SWCC: SWCC is like a big family and everyone greets you with open arms and a smile!

Most often asked question: What did you do to help pay for college when you attended?

Your answer to that question: Along with applying for my high school scholarships, I also applied for SWCC’s Education Foundation. With the awards that I got through my high school and with SWCC’s Education Foundation, I was able to lower my tuition costs by a good amount.

Hobbies/Interests: Being with family and friends, showing livestock, photography, and running.

Favorite thing about SWCC: The students, staff, and faculty! Everyone is so welcoming and caring. It’s easy to make SWCC your “home” on day one!

Your answer to that question: Get involved with as many activities, intramurals and clubs as possible! They are a great way to travel, have fun, and make life-long friends.

Hobbies/Interests: I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, playing/watching sports, spending time on my family farm, and being outdoors.

Favorite thing about SWCC:  The atmosphere here is very welcoming, and the staff/faculty members are always willing to lend a helping hand!

Your answer to that question: SWCC is a very close knit campus. The class sizes are small allowing you to get to know each student in your class, and build a relationship with your instructors.
