Payment arrangements to cover the entire balance of your student account, including tuition, fees, and housing costs must be made each semester by the payment deadline.

To check your student account balance you may contact the business office at 641.782.1448 or log into your account on the SWCCyou portal.

If you plan to finance your education on your own or if your financial aid will not cover all your expenses, you need to make payments in full or set up an automatic payment plan.

Payment options include:

FINANCIAL AID - If you have been awarded a financial aid package from the financial aid office and have enough to cover the current semester, excess aid may be used to purchase books and supplies at the SWCC Shoppe. Any aid remaining will be refunded; check SWCC's Master Calendar for refund dates.

MAIL - Payments may be mailed to the attention of Student Accounts at any of our campuses. Please include your student ID number on the check.

IN-PERSON - Payments by cash, check, money order, and credit card may be made at the business office. If the check is written from a bank located outside the United States, please contact the business office for further assistance.

PHONE - We accept American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa credit and debit cards.

ONLINE - You may set up a student payment plan or make a payment online. Payment plans for Southwestern Community College students are administered through Nelnet Business Solutions (NBS).  Login to the SWCCyou portal and click on the "Student" tab. The Nelnet Enterprise link will be on the left side.

Notice: Southwestern Community College participates in the Iowa State Department of Administrative Services Offset Program. This program allows the State of Iowa to apply any funds owed to the student, such as an income tax refund, to any uncollected educational debt owed to the college.
