Approximately 15 high school students visited campus today for Start Here, Succeed Everywhere, an event planned by the college's admissions department. The day focused on all of the opportunities offered to students who start at SWCC and then transfer to four-year colleges and universities. Students learned how SWCC college credits transfer and what they need to be thinking about when selecting their college classes.
The day featured two student panels--the first being a panel of current SWCC students and the second featuring a panel of SWCC graduates who are now at four-year colleges and universities. The day wrapped up with lunch at the Spartan Cafe and a scholarship drawing. Scholarship winners were Angelica Claytor from Creston and Carolina Ibarra from Creston (pictured below from left to right).
This is the second annual Start Here, Succeed Everywhere event.
