As the spring semester comes to an end, the SWCC Shoppe would like to update you with some changes that are being implemented due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Book Buyback
In the past, the SWCC Shoppe has offered a face-to-face buy back option for SWCC students. A book buy back will still be offered this spring, it is just going to look a little different due to COVID-19. Instead of a face-to-face buy back, the SWCC Shoppe will be offering an online buyback. Follow the video link to help explain: https://vimeo.com/403731514
Watch the SWCC Shoppe’s webpage for the link after May 1, 2020. The online buyback will be open from May 4-8, 2020.
The SWCC Shoppe has partnered with its wholesale company, MBS Textbooks, to complete this process. You, the student, will be responsible for sending the books back to MBS, but all you will need is a box to put the books in. MBS will pay the shipping! They will send you a refund through Paypal or by check after the book shipment has been processed. SWCC will not be issuing check or direct deposit this spring.
Rental Books
Students who rented books at the beginning of the spring semester will need to return their books to the SWCC Shoppe. The due date is being extended until June 5, 2020. SWCC Shoppe employees Jana Scott and Amy Stults will be calling each student who has a rental book or books the week of April 25. They will be discussing how to get the rental books back to the SWCC Shoppe. Please do not sell your rental books to MBS.
Summer Books
The SWCC Shoppe is here to help you with all your summer book and supply needs. An online form, the SWCC Shoppe Textbook Order Form, is available on the SWCC website so we can get your books ordered in time for your summer classes. We will be shipping all textbooks for the summer term at this time. We will start shipping summer books on May 4, 2020.
