In an email to Southwestern students and employees on Monday, April 5, SWCC Dean Kim Bishop announced a COVID-19 vaccine clinic will be offered on campus on Thursday, April 8. The content of the email follows:

Southwestern Students & Employees,

Union County Public Health is planning to host a Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 vaccine clinic on the SWCC Creston campus this Thursday, April 8, from 11 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., in the Allied Health & Sciences Center, room 916. This clinic is open to all SWCC employees and SWCC students age 18 or above.

The Johnson and Johnson vaccine does NOT require a second dose, so you will be fully vaccinated following this one dose. Southwestern nursing students will be assisting public health staff with the clinic.

If you are interested in scheduling an appointment for Thursday, April 8, call Sydney Smith, in SWCC student services, at 641.782.1421. Appointments will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. As a reminder, Southwestern is not requiring you to be vaccinated. The decision to get a vaccine is voluntary.

Please let me know if you have questions.
