The college’s 15th annual SWCC Week/Alcohol Awareness Week will be held October 13-17, 2025! Fun FREE events are planned for SWCC students throughout the week.

Mon., October 13 - Midterm

Pajama Day – It's Monday, let's wear our pajamas.
- 9 a.m. until gone -Coffee on Campus, Student Center
- 7 p.m. - SWCC bonfire, near the basketball court east of Spartan Suites and West Hall
Tues., October 14
- Sock it to me Tuesday (Wear your crazy socks!)
- 2 & 4 p.m., Softball, Spartan Field
- FREE Spartan megaphones for the first 50 students
Wed., October 15
- Spartan Spirit Day - Let's see your Spartan colors!
- 9-11 a.m. – Out of the Darkness Walk Launch – IC, main hallway. Southwestern's Out of the Darkness Walk will be April 23 during Pay it Forward Week!
Students may stop by at this time to register for the walk
Free wristbands for those individuals who register to walk on April 23 - 9 a.m.-noon - Flu Shot Clinic, IC, room 180
- 11 a.m.-1 p.m. – Games, prizes, mocktails & appetizers, Student Center
- Appetizers made and served by social media sensations, The SWCC Chefs
- Games & prizes

- 7 p.m. – Volleyball vs. Iowa Lakes, Student Center, gym
- Lifesavers with messages when students come in the door
- Game with prizes between sets
- Alcohol awareness information available at the gate
Thurs., October 16
- Hats off to the Spartans Day (wear your favorite hat or cap)
- 12-1 p.m. - Grocery Bingo, noon, Student Center. Admissions is looking for donations for prizes
- 7 p.m. - MoonLit Madness with FREE Pizza & T-shirts – Student Center, gym
- 3-point contest featuring men’s and women’s basketball teams
- Dunk contest, men’s basketball
- Hot Shot competition, men’s and women’s basketball
- Scrimmage, men’s basketball
- FREE T-shirts for the first 50 students
- FREE PIZZA & bottled water when you come in the door
Fri., October 17
- Favorite sports team/jersey day
- 9 a.m.-gone – Donut Day
- Featuring breakfast items from Upper Crust
- Featuring coffee from Adams Street Espresso
