Any of these five classes can be taken individually or all together as the Basic Workplace Computing Certificate* (see information below).

Computer Basics for Beginners
Four Nights: February 13, 15, 20 & 22, 2018 6:00 - 9:00 pm
This class will provide the inexperienced computer users instruction on Microsoft Windows 8 operating system and the basic workings of your computer. Instruction will include basic mouse functions, maneuvering the desktop, shortcuts, accessories, file management, file storage, and storage devices. Learn basic Internet and E-mail skills and working with software programs, which will include an introduction to Microsoft Word.

Excel Fundamentals
Four Nights: March 6, 8, 13 & 15, 2018 6:00 - 8:30 pm
This class covers beginning-level skills, and is ideal for the newer computer user who wants to become well versed in Excel. Topics include the Ribbon interface; entering and editing data; selecting cells and ranges; printing worksheets; creating formulas and functions; formatting cell contents; inserting and deleting columns, rows, and cells; charts; and more.
Get hands-on with projects done in class.

Excel Intermediate
Four Nights: March 27, 29, April 3 & 5, 2018 6:00 - 8:30 pm
This class covers more complex skills than those presented in Level 1.
Topics include large worksheets and workbooks; tables; outlines; Inserting clip art, pictures and SmartArt; templates; digital signatures; and more. Class includes projects to practice your new skills.

Word Fundamentals
Three Nights: April 10, 12 & 17, 2018 6:00 - 8:30 pm
This class covers beginning-level skills, and is ideal for the newer computer user who wants to become well versed in Word. Topics include the Ribbon interface, working with text, printing, using proofreading tools, creating bulleted and numbered lists, tables and forms, and more.
Practice new abilities during class.

Word Intermediate
Three Nights: April 19, 24 & 26, 2018 6:00 - 8:30 pm
This class covers more complex skills than those presented in Level 1.
Topics include newsletter columns, WordArt and clip art, document themes, styles, picture editing, Mail Merge, footnotes and endnotes, headers and footers, templates, tables of contents and indexes, and more.

*BASIC WORKPLACE COMPUTING CERTIFICATE
If you are looking for a short-term training option, enroll in the Basic Workplace Computing Certificate option. Enrollees must attend all five of the computer courses.
