raftersThe objective of the Carpentry and Building Trades Program is to prepare students for entry into all carpentry fields as well as the cement finisher, painter, sheet rock finisher, insulator and plumber trades.

Each year the students build a three bedroom home. Construction techniques include use of the same forms and equipment used by commercial carpenters.

Careers in the building trades provide a wide variety of experiences including inside, outside, high-rise, tunnels, power plants to bridges and, of course, houseing. Earning potential is unlimited with some graduates of the program now earning in excess of $100,000 annually.

The program is recognized by the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC).

Job Placement

Construction and Building Trades graduates enjoy a placement rate in excess of 90 percent. Nationwide placement assistance is available through the AGC. Graduates of the program can be found in many cities from coast to coast.
