Southwestern Community College (SWCC) economic development activities encourage new business, assist existing business, and create long-term economic growth. The department accomplishes this through industrial training opportunities, financial incentive programs for business and industry, and the activities of the South Central Iowa SBDC office, which is housed on Southwestern's campus in Creston.
Financial Incentive Program
Southwestern serves as the administrator of the Iowa Jobs Training Program and the Iowa New Jobs Training Program. These programs offer financial incentives for companies expanding or retraining employees.
