When you browse the SWCC Web site, read pages or download information, the Web server automatically recognizes the Internet domain and Internet Protocol (IP) address from which you accessed the site. The IP address identifies your Internet service provider or your local network. This information does not directly result in the identification of your name, personal e-mail address, or other personal information. A domain name or IP address is not considered personal information.
On occasion a “cookie” may be temporarily stored on your computer by the SWCC Web server. These cookies are required by some Web applications to identify the start or last access time and date of your session. No personal information is collected or transmitted by cookies.
To help Southwestern Community College evaluate how visitors use and navigate the college’s Web site, statistical information may be gathered. This may include the number and frequency of visitors, the length of visits, date and time of visits, the referring site or Web page, etc. Pursuant to federal laws and regulations, this data is never matched to personally identifiable information.
