Approximately 15 high school students and their instructors were on campus Wed., December 11, 2013, for the first-ever Advanced Technical and Industrial Exploration Day, hosted by Bill Huntington, career and technical education recruiter.
Students who attended were nominated by their high school instructors. There was a limit of two students per high school.
Throughout the day, students visited industries in the area and learned about career and technical education fields. Stops included Cardinal Glass and Ferrara Candy; as well as the electrical technology, welding, and industrial maintenance technology programs at SWCC.
