Drama Club Accepting 10 Minute Play Submissions

The SWCC Drama Club is now accepting student-, faculty-, or community-written plays for the fall 10 Minute Plays, which will be performed November 17-18, 2016, by the SWCC Drama Club.

Currently, the club has received close to seven submissions.  Script writers do not have to have previous experience in writing and there is no required theme.  The only requirements are that authors limit their plays to 10 minutes in length and keep the number of characters in their play to a minimum.

Last year, the Drama Club performed seven submitted plays and had a lot of fun.  Subjects varied from the strange, to the comical, to the dramatic.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it..   Plays will be accepted for review until September 30, 2016.  After that, authors will be notified of play selection.  This year, play authors have the option of anonymity, so, if they would like to be acknowledged, the club will include the author's name on the program and if the author would rather fly under the radar, their identity will be kept a secret.

The club will once again be accepting non-perishable food items as entrance to the plays.  Items will be donated first to students in need on campus, and then to those in need in the SWCC community.

So, get your pens out! Channel your inner Bard, and get to writing!
