The Southwestern Community College (SWCC) Drama Club is hosting Little Spartan Drama Camp for children ages four through 12 from Mon., June 27-Thurs., June 30 at the Performing Arts Center on the SWCC Creston campus.  The children will be divided into the following age groups:

Ages 4-6 – Mon.-Thurs., June 27-30, 8-10 am – Children will learn about (but are not limited to) and do the following:  stage craft, terminology, theater exercises, improv games, projecting voice, curtain calls, being quiet back stage, character development, and a small readers theater practice and rehearsal.

Ages 7-9 – Mon.-Thurs., June 27-30, 10:30 am-12:30 pm - Children will learn about (but are not limited to) and do the following:  stage craft, terminology, theater exercises, improv games, projecting voice, curtain calls, being quiet back stage, character development, light and sound booth operations, and a small readers theater practice and rehearsal.

Ages 10-12 – Mon.-Thurs., June 27-30, 1:30-3:30 pm – Students will learn about and participate in the following: terminology, stage set up, light/sound booth operations, stage make-up, vocal exercises for the stage, improv, monologues, and scene work.

Thursday night there will be a performance at 7 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center.  Please have children arrive at 6 p.m. to prepare for their performance.

Cost:
•    $30 per child.  
•    Cost includes a camp T-shirt.  If you choose not to receive a camp T-shirt, the cost is $15.
•    If you have more than one child attending camp, the cost decreases to $20 per child.
