Union County Emergency Management is hosting a three-day training session with actual “force-on-force” training, Tues., June 14, through Thurs., June 16, on Southwestern Community College’s Creston campus in room 180 of the Instructional Center and in student housing.  During this training there will be a number of emergency vehicles on campus and the participants will be completing live simulations.  Do not be alarmed.

A portion of the actual “force-on-force” training will be conducted Wednesday and Thursday in student housing on the south side of campus, and specifically in Spartan Court and its parking lot area.  During this training, there will be law enforcements vehicles, ambulances, and fire trucks in this area, as well as individuals outside simulating emergency situations.  There will be serious situations role-played during the training, such as a mass shooting simulation with individuals simulating hostages and victims.

This emergency management training session is being held to train law enforcement, EMS, and fire department personnel.
