Southwestern Community College's Phi Theta Kappa chapter, Beta Eta Nu, will be hosting its formal induction for new members on Sun., April 3, 2016, at 3 p.m., in the Instructional Center, room 180. All new Phi Theta Kappa members for the 2015-16 school year, their families, and friends are invited to attend. Southwestern faculty and staff members are encouraged to attend as well.
2016-17 Beta Eta Nu officers, who will be sworn in during the ceremony, include:

- Vice President of Leadership-Tiffany Larson
- VP of Scholarship-Ellen Campbell-Poole
- VP of Service-Blythe Beck
- VP of Fellowship-Gabe Esser
- Recorder-Selena Sampson
Refreshments will be served following the event. Dress is business casual. Advisors for the college's Phi Theta Kappa chapter are Jody Nedley-Newcomb, sociology instructor, and Justin Mann, math instructor.
