Southwestern Community College (SWCC) sophomore Tom Hol, from Osceola, was elected as vice president of the southwest district for the Phi Theta Kappa Iowa Region during the Iowa Regional Convention, held February 26-27, at the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Urbandale.
Hol, a sophomore majoring in business, served as SWCC’s Phi Theta Kappa chapter president during the 2014-15 school year. He is currently the chapter's Honors in Action (HIA) chair.
Phi Theta Kappa, an international honor society, recognizes and encourages scholarship and leadership skills among students at two-year colleges.
