The Southwestern Community College (SWCC) Chamber Singers will be touring in the Des Moines area the week of Nov. 27-Dec. 1, 2017, presenting “Holiday Carols in Concert” with carols and masterworks by Mendelssohn, Rutter, McGlynn, Mattson, and J.S. Bach; as well as pieces written by directors Ryan Howe and Grammy-nominated Dr. Jeremy Fox.

The SWCC Chamber Singers feature the amazing voices of students, from across the United States and Canada, who have come to SWCC in Creston to attend the college’s School for Music Vocations.

• Mon., November 27, 7:30 p.m. – St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1120 N. 8th Ave., Winterset, IA 50273
• Tues., November 28, 7:30 p.m. – First United Methodist Church, 1001 Pleasant St., Des Moines, IA 50309
• Wed., November 29, 7 p.m. – Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, 5625 Franklin Ave., Des Moines, IA 50310
• Thurs., November 30, 7:30 p.m. – Central Presbyterian Church, 3829 Grand Ave., Des Moines, IA 50312
• Fri., December 1, 7:30 p.m. – Grace Lutheran Church, 3010 52nd St., Des Moines, IA 50301

Free-will donations will be accepted at each concert. The public is invited to attend.

In addition, the SWCC Chamber Singers will be performing a concert on the SWCC campus in the Performing Arts Center, 1501 W. Townline St., Creston, on Sun., December 10, at 7:30 p.m. The cost for admissions for this concert is $10 per person or $5 for students and senior citizens.
