The Southwestern Community College (SWCC) Chamber Singers will be touring in the Des Moines area the week of November 26-30, 2018, presenting “Holiday Carols in Concert” with carols and masterworks by Bach, Rachmaninoff, and Mattson; as well as pieces written by director Ryan Howe. The public is invited to attend.

The SWCC Chamber Singers feature the amazing voices of students from across the United States and Canada, who have come to SWCC in Creston to attend the college’s School for Music Vocations.

  • Monday, Nov. 26, 7 p.m. – Zion Lutheran Church, 4300 Beaver Ave, Des Moines, IA 50310
  • Tuesday, Nov. 27, 7 p.m. – First United Methodist Church, 309 E Jefferson St, Winterset, IA 50273
  • Wednesday, Nov. 28, 7 p.m. – Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, 5625 Franklin Ave., Des Moines, IA 50310
  • Thursday, Nov. 29, 7:30 p.m. - Central Presbyterian Church, 3829 Grand Ave., Des Moines, IA 50312
  • Friday, Nov. 30, 7 p.m. – Grace Lutheran Church, 3010 52nd St., Des Moines, IA 50301

Free will donations will be accepted at each concert.

In addition, the SWCC Chamber Singers will be performing a concert on the SWCC campus in the Performing Arts Center, 1501 W. Townline St., Creston, on Sun., December 9, at 7:30 p.m. The cost for admission to this concert is $10 per person or $5 for students and senior citizens.
