The SWCC Drama Club would like to welcome everyone back for the fall semester, and invite students, faculty, and staff to their first meeting on Friday, Aug. 31, 2018, at 12 p.m. (originally scheduled for 1 p.m.) in the Instructional Center, room 140.
During the meeting, the Drama Club will be electing officers for the fall semester, selecting a Student Senate representative, getting to know each other/reconnecting, and discussing fun plans for the year.
The fall show this year is an original production, written by Kelly Franklin (a comedy), Drama Club sponsor, and it will be performed in November. As usual, this will be a food drive event to benefit the local food pantry and those in need.
In the spring, we will be producing the classic Tennessee Williams play The Glass Menagerie, once again bringing Black Box style theater to Creston with this production.
The Joseph Larson/Little Spartan Drama Camp will return in June (dates TBA) and throughout the year the club will partake in small theatrical opportunities as they arise.
Plan to come and get to know other Drama Club members, and inquire about auditions for the fall comedy. Please remember, you do not have to be in a production to be a part of the drama club.
