Update: The Indoor Disc Golf Tournament originally scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 22, has been rescheduled for Thursday, March 1, 2018, at 7 p.m.
The Southwestern Community College (SWCC) Disc Golf Club will be hosting an indoor disc golf tournament on Thursday, March 1, 2018, at 7 p.m. in the SWCC Student Center gymnasium in Creston.
Entry to the tournament is free and open to the public. Beginner and experienced players are welcome. The first 25 students (college and younger) who participate will receive a free golf disc featuring the SWCC Disc Golf stamp. Prizes will be awarded to the top scores. Players are encouraged to bring their own putters to use.
The disc golf club is open to any SWCC student, faculty, or staff member interested in the game of disc golf, but as mentioned, the tournament is open to everyone. The purpose of the club is to increase awareness of the game, improve playing skills and understanding of the rules, and among other things, play disc golf.
